    Vintage Minolta Hi-Matic 7 Range-finder camera. Working.

(Please read entirely) Collector’s interest vintage Minolta Hi-Matic 7 Range-finder camera from the 60s in excellent condition.

Main specs: Rokkor PF 45mm 1:1.8 lens with Seiko-La shutter @ B, 1/4 to 1/500 seconds. Direct helicoidal focusing coupled to super-imposed rangefinder. Manual, aperture/shutter priority and full auto modes. Built in exposure meter in lens barrel for automatic compensation for filters.

What we had performed and our conclusions: Exterior, film compartment and lens surfaces cleaned only, not repairs, tested without battery only. RF, meter, apertures and shutter speeds are consistent and in good working condition. Lens is crystal clear. Light seals are worn out and to the point which will make it perfect for “Lomo effect photography”. But if the seals need to be restored for regular picture taking it is very easy to get new ones installed. (see pictures). • ARGUS C-FOUR (c. 1951) coupled rangefinder camera. Works

ARGUS C-FOUR (c. 1951) coupled rangefinder camera. Works

(Please read entirely)… This is a RF Argus c-four camera from the 50’s in great cosmetic condition, great collector’s item. Camera works but will require a *CLA’d if considering camera for accuracy or serious work. This is one of the easiest to maintain.

Specs: 135 (35mm) film type camera with Argus Coated Cintar 50mm f/2.8 lens and coupled rangefinder.

What we performed… Cleaned all around. not *CLA’d.
We concluded that camera is in great cosmetic condition, Lens is cristal clear, RF works good, viewfinder is clear, aperture ring turns smoothly. All shutter speeds seem consistent with exception of the 1/10 S which varies. As for the focusing the body dial has become heavy to turn proper of many of the Argus C series cameras of this vintage, however the knurled ring on the lens can also be used for focusing.

This item is considered vintage, please take a good look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions as it is being sold “As Is” Sale will be final. Thanks for looking.

  • ARGUS C3 MATCHMATIC (C. 1939) Rangefinder camera with light meter accessory. “The Brick” Beige version.

ARGUS C3 MATCHMATIC (C. 1939) Rangefinder camera with light meter accessory. “The Brick” Beige version.

… This is a Coupled Split Window Rangefinder camera with a 50mm f/3.5 coated Cintar 3 elements, B, 1/10 – 1/300 seconds and Selenium Accessory Shoe. Uses 35mm film cartridges.

What we performed… Exterior, film compartment, front and back element cleaning. No Clad performed.

Our observations: Shutter gets stuck at the lowest #4 setting speed in dial, all other speeds seem consistent. Unfortunately we weren’t able to revive the selenium meter as it constantly gets stuck… perhaps the next owners may have more luck. Exterior looks worn out due to age or normal use, some of the corners are peeling apart from body. It may be possible to specially treat or replace covering as with the popularity this camera has among “new” collectors, Whole or pre-cut coverings can be found in different colors.

  • BALDA BALDINETTE Mess (c. 1953) 35mm folding camera in excellent condition, Almost mint!

BALDA BALDINETTE Mess (c. 1953) 35mm folding camera in excellent condition, Almost mint!

… This is a Balda Mess Baldinette with Baltar 50mm f/2.9 lens in Prontor-SV shutter and uncoupled rangefinder.

Condition… What we had performed on this unit and our observations:
Shutter mechanism and range finder had been cla’d. All lens elements and viewfinders had been cleaned and are crystal clear. Every speed works correctly plus bulb mode. Unfortunately the self timer is temperamental and gets jammed most of the time and it is recommended to not longer use it in a camera of this vintage or for certain situations that make use of it a shutter release cable can be used in place. Folding cloth had been restored and tested for light leaks.

Camera overall is in excellent cosmetic condition. Leatherette and aluminum top covering are almost mint, film compartment seems like it has been under some use otherwise very clean and well taken care of. The paint condition can’t be better for a camera this age.

What you see is what you’ll get, this item is vintage, please take a good look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions as it is being sold “As Is” Sale will be final.

Condition… What we had performed on this unit and our observations:
Shutter mechanism has been cla’d and lenses cleaned, bellows was retouched at some points where it is the most vulnerable and subject to stress. Everything has been tested and works as it should (shutter speeds + bulb + self-timer)

The condition is superb, camera covering, plated finishing and film compartment are clean and neat. There is little chipped paint on metal trimming as this is proper with the age of the unit.
