Description

(Please read entirely) Collector’s interest vintage Minolta Hi-Matic 7 Range-finder camera from the 60s in excellent condition.

Main specs: Rokkor PF 45mm 1:1.8 lens with Seiko-La shutter @ B, 1/4 to 1/500 seconds. Direct helicoidal focusing coupled to super-imposed rangefinder. Manual, aperture/shutter priority and full auto modes. Built in exposure meter in lens barrel for automatic compensation for filters.

What we had performed and our conclusions: Exterior, film compartment and lens surfaces cleaned only, not repairs, tested without battery only. RF, meter, apertures and shutter speeds are consistent and in good working condition. Lens is crystal clear. Light seals are worn out and to the point which will make it perfect for “Lomo effect photography”. But if the seals need to be restored for regular picture taking it is very easy to get new ones installed. (see pictures). Retracting lever that turns film rewinding knob opens loose but it does not affect when rewinding film or using camera. If camera is intended to be used with internal light meter or in any of the auto modes a 1.35V PX625 or current battery is needed. Notice that camera may need to be *CLA’d in order to be used appropriately with a battery.

Sale includes camera as seen in pictures and the original brown half case not shown. No strap or battery is included.

Message me with questions you may have before committing to buy as this item is considered vintage and sale will be final. Thanks

*CLA = Clean, Lubrication and Adjusting (Most should include light seals replacement.)
